Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist / CNC Programmer-Operator to join our team in Brantford, Ontario. In this role, you will play a vital part in the manufacturing process, utilizing your mechanical expertise to construct, repair, and maintain plastic injection moulds with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and repair plastic injection moulds.
- Focus on detailed fit, function, and assembly.
- Incorporate engineering changes, repairs, and maintenance.
- Perform precision machining, grinding, for dimensional accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Injection mould experience is an asset.
- CNC programming and machining experience is an asset.
- Proficiency with machine shop tools.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with Vertical Manual and CNC Milling Machines, Lathes, and Surface Grinders.
- Skilled in using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
- Crane and lift truck experience is an asset.
- 2+ years of work experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
